吴凡对着镜子， agonizingly adjusted his tie, trying to make it look straight. He was about to attend a medical conference, and this was his best suit. Unfortunately, his tailor was too busy promoting his singing career, and the suit had a small problem: it kept twisting to the left. This detail was enough to drive a man mad.

"Damn it," he cursed under his breath, as the tie adjusted itself again. Just as he thought it couldn't get any worse, his phone rang. He took it out and saw the familiar face of his best friend, Li Xiaoming, on the screen.

"Xiao Li, what's up?" Joked Wu Fan.

"Xiaoming," Li Xiaoming said, sounding worried, "something happened to your sister. She's in the hospital."

Wu Fan froze. His sister, Wu Ling, was his only family. She was a teacher at a local high school. "What happened? Is she okay?"

"She's fine now, but she needs your help," replied Li Xiaoming. "She's been having some strange symptoms, and the doctors can't figure it out. They think it might be something supernatural."
